Koch Nitrogen Company owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. These plants provide fertilizer to customers in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Midwest. Combined, Koch Nitrogen’s fertilizer interests can produce about 6 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizer annually.

Position Summary:
Koch Nitrogen Company is seeking a motivated and self driven Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of capital, expense, and compliance projects at KNC terminal facilities, and for engineering support of terminal maintenance and reliability efforts.
Project work will include:
• Initial investigation
• Alternatives evaluation
• Cost estimating
• Economic analysis
• Funding requests
• Contract engineering management
• Material procurement
• Cost Tracking
• Construction and start-up support
• Outside engineering will typically be used to support detailed engineering needs.
Requirements:
• 5 - 10 years engineering and project management experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries .
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Knowledgeable in typical process equipment - tanks, piping, pumps, heat exchangers, instrumentation, control systems.
• Critical thinking, economic evaluation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred:
• Knowledgeable in industry equipment and piping codes - ANSI, ASME, API
