Koch Nitrogen Company and its affiliates own and invest in nitrogen fertilizer production and storage capacity in North America, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. The company's fertilizer interests manufacture, market and distribute more than 6 million metric tons of nitrogen products annually. Koch Nitrogen Company owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. These plants provide fertilizer to customers in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Midwest. Combined, Koch Nitrogen’s fertilizer interests can produce about 6 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizer annually.

Position Summary
Koch Nitrogen Company is seeking a motivated and self driven Reliability Engineer. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Devise and implement Preventative Maintenance improvement initiatives
• Improve equipment monitoring systems to predict and prevent major equipment failures
• Analyze equipment failures to find creative solutions to prevent reoccurrence
• Take a major role in managing the Mechanical Integrity program for Fixed and Rotating Equipment
• Manage projects related to the improvement of plant reliability
• Play a major role in the organization and execution of plant Turnarounds
Requirements
• Previous maintenance and reliability experience at a chemical process plant, petro-chemical plant or refinery (may substitute equivalent education)
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
• Strong leadership skills
• Must be a team player with a passion for learning and contributing
• Must be a self starter and results driven
• Proficient with Microsoft Application
• Possess excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Must be available for plant outages
• 50 - 70% office time, with the balance to be spent in the plant
• B.S. Mechanical Engineering
Preferred:
• Training/instruction focused on maintenance and reliability of steam turbines, reciprocating and turbine compressors, control valves, etc.
• Various types of metallurgy, welding processes, civil/structural systems
