Koch Nitrogen Company and its affiliates own and invest in nitrogen fertilizer production and storage capacity in North America, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. The company's fertilizer interests manufacture, market and distribute more than 6 million metric tons of nitrogen products annually. Koch Nitrogen Company owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. These plants provide fertilizer to customers in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Midwest. Combined, Koch Nitrogen’s fertilizer interests can produce about 6 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizer annually.

Position Summary
As an Engineering Leader for Koch Nitrogen Company the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the Engineering capabilities supporting the operations of KNC’s Enid, Oklahoma fertilizer manufacturing facility. These responsibilities will include:
• Safety and Environmental - Supply the technical resources needed to support the facilities Process Safety Management program. Supply the engineering capability needed by the safety and environmental departments in defining scope and executing projects.
• Process monitoring and optimization - The focus within this capability is supporting operations in meeting production plans by monitoring plant performance and identifying areas of improvement on a daily basis.
• Opportunity identification and scope development - The capability to identify plant performance gaps in the overall cost per ton of production and the development of the business case to capture.
• Opportunity capture - Provide the management capabilities necessary to cost effectively execute projects. Own the project management process aligning with Koch’s performance goals in the arena of project management.
• Asset maintenance - Assist the maintenance organization by providing the engineering support and standards required to optimize the life cycle cost of equipment.
• Being a mentor and an example to all personnel promoting Koch’s business philosophy and principles.
• Developing personnel aligning with Koch’s personnel development program.
• Working with the plants leadership team to identify and capture improvement opportunities.
• Align with manufacturing valued products to the market place while providing a work place that is injury free and compliant with all agency regulations.
Requirements
• Engineering leadership experience at a chemical process plant, petro-chemical plant, or refinery
• Strong commitment to Safety, Environmental Compliance, Plant Reliability, and Production Excellence
• Proven leadership skills, organizational skills, high work standards, strong technical abilities, strong business skills, and personal accountability
• Working knowledge of OSHA applicable regulatory standards such as OSHA 1910.119, and industry standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, PIP
• Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and heights in a chemical process facility
• Availability for weekend work and travel, including air travel
• BS in Engineering
Preferred
• Process engineering leadership experience with first hand experience in monitoring process performance, identification of opportunities and capturing opportunities
• BS in Chemical Engineering
