Position Summary
Koch Mineral Services is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will manage capital asset projects that could range from $1-50 Million in size. This will include managing conceptual development, front end engineering, detailed design and construction and continue through post start up project analysis. The project manager will oversee engineering, procurement and construction and is responsible to ensure the project is performed safely and in full compliance with all laws and that it meets defined objectives for production, cost and schedule performance.
Requirements
• Must be able to travel and enter plant operating sites to access and inspect equipment. Inspections will include utilizing ladders, stairs, and platforms in excess of 100’, entering confined spaces and utilizing all required personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to support plants which are in continuous operation.
• 10 years experience in the process industry in engineering or technical roles relating to process equipment design and/or operation
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of typical process industry standards and codes (ISA, IEC, etc.)
• Ability to work in a “matrixed” leadership capacity with other corporate and facility operations personnel
• Good communication skills (verbal & written)
• Able to identify root project and opportunities and work independently to achieve goals
• BS in Engineering
Preferred
• Experience in the fertilizer industry
• Operating and maintenance experience
• Management of programs from a corporate level
