Position Summary
Koch Carbon is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our Compliance team in Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for assuring full compliance with regulations and laws that apply to our business and for providing leadership in driving improvement in workplace safety and incident rates.

Responsibilities will include:
• Interaction with the sites on a regular basis to assure training and follow-up on ongoing and emerging issues that apply to Health and Safety of the locations
• Manage and prepare for regular audits and assure closure of open issues is done in full compliance
• Work with the Koch Mineral Services compliance professionals as well as the legal team to assure proper knowledge is applies
• Work with the Koch Mineral Services compliance to understand the goals and initiatives set for the year
• Set the Health and Safety annual plan for Koch Carbon

Requirements
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and walk across elevated catwalks
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Will be working around coal piles and petcoke storage piles at times
• 7+ years of experience in Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
• Computer skills for running reports
• Strong scorecard and measurement background
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Solid organizational ability
• Knowledge of local, Federal and State emerging issues with Industrial Hygiene
• Strong knowledge of OSHA / MSHA regulations
• Ability to partner well with various groups
• Bachelors Degree in Health & Safety related field
• CSP Certification

Preferred

• 10+ years of experience in Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
• MSHA compliance experience
• Experience in bulk handling environment (coal and petcoke handling preferred)
• Advance degree in Health & Safety related field
