Position Summary
* Coordinate the right of way permitting process with entitues desiring to encroach upon KPL easements.
* Coordinate with local operations regarding encroachment and one-call issues; coordinate with project managers to determine right of way services.
* Enhance and maintain property line lists.
* Obtain permission from property owners and regulatory authorities for access/entry.
* Coordinate and settle damage claims, review title examination and negotiate rights of way.
* Execute the acquisition of real property rights.
Requirements
* Pipeline or utility right of way experience, 3-5 years
* Experience in title review and examination, 3-5 years
* Microsoft Office literate and the ability to learn proprietary programs and databases
* Ability to comprehend and modify right of way documents, determine legal descriptions and pull title documents on various property types
* General real estate and due diligence knowledge
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Position requires a valid driver's license
* Some travel is required up to 30% - including overnight travel.
Preferred:
* Basic courses with the International Right of Way Associations' technical training curriculum
* College degree
* Experience in real estate and real property land rights
* Experience in claim settlements relating to property damage
* Familiarity with agency permitting
