Position Summary
• Boiler operation
• Forklift operation
• Monitor and operate emulsion milling process.
• Mix chemical solutions.
• Perform valve switching for tank line-ups.
• Load finished product.
• Unload raw materials.
• Perform routine minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment.
• Opening and closing valves
• Inspecting process piping and equipment
• Reading and recording process flow, pressure, temperature and level measurements.
• Gather samples from sample valves
• Drum handling
• Basic computer skills
• General maintenance which includes: pipe fitting; bolting/un-bolting equipment; insulating piping and tanks; cleaning equipment; recycling pump seal drips; strainer and filter cleaning and other tasks as determined by management.
Requirements
Ideal candidate will possess:
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word).
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Critical thinking and decision making skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Willing to work shift work when necessary and be on-call for after hours support.
• Ability to work at elevated heights.
• Ability to safely lift at least 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (stairs/ ladders may have ice and snow during winter months) for maintenance and gauging operations.
• Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Willing to wear fire retardant clothing, as required.
• Willing to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, safety work boots) as required.
• Occasional travel (with overnight stays) required for attending training, meetings and assisting other areas or locations.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience with asphalt products and/or oil and gas industry; maintenance, machinery operations, boiler operation, and laboratory testing.
• High School or GED
