Position Overview:
The Polysomnographic Technologist is a professional caregiver who performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorders tests under the medical direction of the Sleep Lab Medical Director. Scores reports. Maintains performance improvement and participates in Quality Improvement activities. Provides patient education and support.
Education Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography. OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
Experience Requirements:
No less than one year experience as a Polysomnographic Technician.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION: Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent. Maintain current CPR or BCLS certi
