Position Overview: This position provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting under the direction and supervision of a Registered nurse. The incumbent works in a fast paced environment and will provide set up for a variety of patient care procedures. In addition the Technician will be responsible for room preparation and cleaning as well as stocking and dispensing of supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Communicates effectively with patients families and members of the health care team.
Promotes and supports all Team Mercy standards of quality customer service.
Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Current license to work as an EMT or EMT-I in the State of Kansas.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a pre-hospital environment or as a C N A is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Completion of MRHC ED orientation and competency checklist is required. Verification in BLS is required.
