Position Overview:
Provides direct and indirect care in the critical care setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/co-workers as appropriate about changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides comprehensive nursing care within the framework of the nursing process. Collaborates with patients families and other members of the healthcare team. Promotes and supports all Team Mercy standards of quality customer service. Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Current Kansas License ACLS and BLS verified or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Critical Care Experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Utilizes the nursing process to deliver care to individual patients. Accepts assignment responsibilities as an accountable member of the healthcare team. Works cooperatively with nursing ancillary and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
