Description:
Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Collaborates with patients, families and other members of the healthcare team.
Promotes and supports all Team Mercy standards of quality customer service.
Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Current Kansas Certificate, BLS verified.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Utilizes the nursing process to deliver care to individual patients. Accepts assignment responsibilities as an accountable member of the healthcare team. Works cooperatively with nursing, ancillary and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Full mobility and ability to complete vigorous activities. Must be able to lift, support and move patients and equipment. Must be able to function under stressful situations and for extended shift hours. Has ability to organize multiple activities simultaneously.
