Establish & implement strategies for exploring mechanisms of action of novel molecules to support translation into future therapies. Master's in Cellular/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a hi-rel field of study plus 2 yrs of exp in: (i) developing assays using purified-components & cell-based systems configured to identify small-molecule inhibitors; (ii) designing & executing biochemical microplate-based assays to identify & characterize small-molecule modulators using a variety of techniques & detection methods (ELISA, MSD, mass spectrometric formats, etc.); (iii) collaborating with project teams to deploy biochemical & cellular assays for high-throughput screening & to generate dose respond curves; (iv) protein chemistry, including protein expression, purification, & quantification using biotechniques such as Western blotting; (v) establishing & validating compound potency assays using cell lines or primary human cells; & (vi) biological data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office tools, etc.
