Job Details:

Senior Data Scientist (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)), (Jersey City, NJ): Collaborating within the organization to understand and scope key business problems, gather business requirements, and translate into actionable technical objectives for Data Science operations; Partnering with Product Owners and other data scientists to drive technical execution of modeling projects; Executing critical elements of analytics initiatives, including exploratory data analysis, machine learning model development, model evaluation and benefit estimation; Planning out project tasks and timelines for Data Science projects; Working closely with engineering teams to deploy models as APIs into various cutting-edge platforms; Building data modeling frameworks that can be leveraged for multiple projects with focus on code reproducibility and creating generalizable technology assets for analytics teams; Partnering with business partners across the Chubb organization, IT and analytics peer groups to identify ongoing business objectives and strategies and identifying how data science operations can support business needs; Effectively communicating results and outcomes of data evaluation and analytics activities in written, oral and presentation formats, with the objective of providing stakeholders with key conclusions and insights; and Monitoring performance of models and reporting findings to leadership. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms and concepts (i.e. gradient boosting, tree algorithms, supervised and unsupervised models); Advanced experience in feature engineering; Experience deploying machine learning algorithms as microservices; Experience with Python and OOP; Strong background in SQL and data querying languages; Familiarity with docker, kubernetes, flask, Django, MLflow and other deployment solutions required; Ability to build and maintain custom classes in python; Experience with software management tools (GIT); and Ability to clearly articulate and explain complex machine learning models to technical stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science or closely related field and at least three years of experience as an Engineer, Data Scientist or related occupation. Hybrid option to work from home available - 3 days in office per week. Salary: $118,000 - $145,000/year.
