Overview:

ACS seeks to hire a Human Resource Intern to join the Human Resource team. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. The Human Resources Intern will provide assistance within the team and will be responsible for a variety of human resource tasks involving new employee orientation and onboarding, recruitment, file maintenance and other projects as needed.

Internship Details: We are looking for an individual who is available 30 to 40 hours a week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the summer, with the possibility to continue through the school year working 15 to 20 hours a week.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by placing job ads on ACSs Career page and external job boards, tracking expiration dates of ads and where placed; assisting with HRIS database, processing resumes received and related tasks.
  • Plan and manage the execution of company sponsored events. This includes logistics, communications, transportation, and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist in the organizing and delivery of on-campus interviews, information session, and/or career fairs including the preparation of any materials and interfacing with campus representatives.
  • Assist in ordering business cards for employees; maintain accurate list of job titles and certifications represented on business cards
  • Assist in the coordination for photo-taking of new hires and ensure photos are posted in a timely fashion on the company Intranet.
  • Assist in administration of employee performance evaluation process.
  • Assist in the tracking of employee training in HRIS system; assist with the scheduling and tracking of off-site training with outside providers and in-house training sessions.
  • Maintain company organization charts and group lists.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
  • Assist and participate in key strategic organizational development projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related area.
  • Minimum 1 year of office experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and common programs such as Word, Excel, email, Internet job boards, and online research as needed for job-related reasons.
  • Highly developed confidentiality skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work as a committed and trusted team member.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
