Engineer - Battery / Charger
Job Location: Suwanee, GA
Salary:
$80,000 to $100,000 + Benefits
Summary:
Senior design engineer responsible for the analysis, test, documentation, and support of Li Ion battery packs and embedded chargers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design of Li Ion battery packs and embedded linear and switching charger circuits.
• Embedded microcontroller hardware and firmware design.
• Design analysis (mathematical and simulation).
• Designer verification testing of battery packs and chargers.
• Factory and field failure analysis.
• Evaluation and approval of vendors including cell vendors.
• Requires 1-2 International trips per year.
Experience Required:
• 6 years experience - Rechargeable battery technology design
• Technologies: Li Ion in both battery pack & embedded charger design (linear & switching).
• Embedded microcontroller, hardware & firmware.
• Design analysis using MathCAD, Spice & Excel.
• Designer testing of packs and chargers and documentation of designs.
Skills and Education Required:
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Troubleshooting; Excellent written and verbal communication; Self-Motivation
