Summary:
Affinity Consulting Group, Inc. - A leading provider of Nationwide Direct Hire Professional level Recruiting and Staffing Services is looking for a Purchasing Director for one of our clients at one of their locations in Miami.
Salary:
Up to $90-135k Salary plus Benefits
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of procuring commodities, services, and project contracts in support of organization.
• Oversees strategy development, negotiations, and preparation of related purchase orders and contracts.
• Responsible for ensuring the daily transactional operations and execution to meet performance goals and internal client service levels.
• Leads procurement strategies and tactics for a diverse set of commodities and services along with advanced engineering design activities to ensure lowest total cost of ownership.
• Provides strategic visionary utilization of new supply chain technology.
• Develops and implements strategies and tactics for procurement and contract transactions
• Maintains supplier performance records and develops supplier relationship strategies
• Ensures contractual integrity and compliance
• Develops and implements financial plans
• Negotiates with outside suppliers and contractors
Experience Required:
• Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described
• 15 years experience in Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, and Supply Chain field
• Experienced in Purchasing management role in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
• Experienced in purchasing logistics with a diverse set of commodities and services.
• Contracts and contractual knowledge
• Excellent negotiation and strategy development skills
• Thorough knowledge of advanced contract finance terms and conditions and advance knowledge of supply chain logistics
• Expert and past experience in delivery and invoicing requirements.
• MS Office proficiency – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, E-mail, Windows environment
Education, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, or related field required.
• Excellent Communication: Verbal and Written
• Proven teamwork skills, including ability to influence decisions without directing
• Demonstrated and proven leadership skills
• Ability to work and mange in a dynamic - fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently day to day and create strategic direction
• Ability to travel to supplier sites and company locations nationally and internationally.
