Data Warehouse Engineer

Description:
Affinity Consulting Group, Inc. - A leading provider of Professional and Technology Staffing Services is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer for one of our clients located here in South Florida.
Salary:
Commensurate with Experience + Benefits package and potential Corporate Bonus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and support data warehousing projects in a Microsoft environment using SQL Server 2005 technologies.
• Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
• Define interfaces and functional specifications and is responsible for verifying accuracy of data, and the maintenance and support of the data warehouse.
• Review and analyze business requirements for Data Warehouse projects
• Design, implement, maintain SQL Database and OLAP structures
• Design of Microsoft SSAS Cubes and implement complex business rules using MDX
• Development and rollout of Data loading mechanism (ETL) for the Data Warehouse
Experience and Knowledge Required:
• At least 3 years experience in Data warehouse design and development
• Dimensional Data modeling and star schema design
• Design and development of ETL processes and procedures using T-SQL and SSIS
• OLAP cube development using SSAS
• T-SQL code optimization
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (i.e. SSRS, ProClarity, Office Performance Point)
• Min 2 years developing MDX Queries
Skills and Education Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Ability to work well with people and be a quick learner.
• Able to apply advanced software engineering principles, theories and concepts.
• Ability to stay focused and detail-oriented in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Familiar with data warehousing concepts, best practices, and procedures.
