Lead Configuration Analyst

Summary
Affinity Consulting Group, Inc. - A leading provider of Professional and Technology Staffing Services is looking for a Lead Configuration Analyst for one of our clients located in Miami, FL.
Salary:
$65K to 75K + Excellent Benefits package
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leading or conducting analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of configuration of the Amisys – Medical Claims system.
• Assess requests for new or changes to existing Amisys configuration, either single subsystem or for multiple subsystems.
• Work with departments to identify the business requirements.
• Evaluate new system functionality.
• Design configuration approach(es) and develop impact assessment.
• Collaborate with technical staff if full automation of request cannot be achieved by configuration.
• Present assessments to upper management along with recommendations.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of the configuration solution with the configuration staff.
• Facilitate issue resolutions pertaining to business rules definition with appropriate decision makers.
• Suggest operational procedures necessary for configuration changes.
• Recommend improvements in existing configuration.
• Assist in trouble shooting of any production issues.
• Manage Amisys issues with the departments and with the vendor.
• Responsible for receiving Amisys issues from the departments, analyzing issues and reporting issues to the vendor, if issue is a system deficiency.
• Communicate priority of issue to the vendor and develop workaround with the user.
• Assess Amisys releases and conduct/coordinate testing.
• Serve as Amisys subject matter expert.
Experience and Requirements:
• Minimum of eight years managed care experience in a complex, multi-product environment.
• Knowledge of Federal regulations, State of Florida Insurance statutes, and company group/ member contractual arrangements.
• Detailed knowledge of at least 4 Amisys subsystems preferred.
• Strong management and project management skills.
• Expertise in system testing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word and Excel is required.
Skills and Education Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or similar concentration, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational skills and extremely detailed oriented.
• Excellent communication skills with solid.
• Documentation skills.
• Capable of conducting presentations and training sessions.
• Ability to manage processes and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently, as a member of a team or as a team lead.
• Conduct issue resolution involving multiple departments and demonstrate effective follow-up skills.
• Able to function effectively under stress and handle projects without predefined structure.
