Salary:
$40-45k plus Extensive Benefits package and Travel per diem

Summary:
Looking for additional Network engineers to add to the team to provide on site and telephone technical support to the company’s external customers and provide training to customers and staff. Travel and on call duties are on a regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Resolves issues with our full line of products including but not limited to Safes, Printers, d Encoders, and Database Maintenance.
• Ability to Manage our in house Repair Center resolving problems with all equipment that is sent in for repair
• Willing to stay on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week to respond to our Marine customer that call into our 24 hour help line also willing to travel at a moments notice to resolve critical customer issues worldwide
• Works unsupervised most of the time. Empowered and knowledgeable enough to handle most situations with minimal management intervention.
• Ability to assist customers with resolution of interface issues used onboard cruise ships.
• Travels worldwide to customer sites to conduct training and service calls
• Able to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Plan, Install and Support the Marine Gangway Control application.
• Troubleshooting the following components:
• GWC Server and Workstation software instillation configuration and testing
• Configuration of the GWC database
• Barcode Scanners instillation and repair
• Fingerprint Readers and other biometric readers instillation and repair
• Digital camera instillation and troubleshooting
• Provide system training, troubleshooting and documentation for all company products.
• Sets schedule based on incoming customer needs and current workload without the involvement of management, but keeps management informed of issues and decisions made
• Interfaces with Cruise Line’s IT department in resolving issues with connectivity to the company application
• Must understand Master Key Systems onboard cruise ships
• Reviews locking plans and assists customers in interpreting locking plans and cylinder and key ordering
• Assists in setting up test environments in office and at customer locations
• Processes and grants Return Merchandise Authorization to customers
• Complete management of install and upgrade projects onboard cruise ships
• Database Construction
• System testing and issue resolution
• Complete training of all shipboard staff
• Lock instillation
• MOC and Remote reader
• Logs all customer service calls for billing and problem tracking purposes
• Assists customers with setting up and configuring multiple databases for batch mode printing for future cruises
• Promotes After Market Sales while visiting customers on service calls
• Assist Service Manager with documentation and technical projects as needed.
• Provide system troubleshooting and documentation for customers calling for support.
• Thoroughly and accurately, troubleshoot customer systems to ensure minimal warranty costs and correct solutions to customer issues.
• Participant in Company Beta testing of new software/hardware. Follow test script and make needed reports based on testing.
• Assist Sales when selling into complex projects, like Disney, Casinos, big interfaced/integrated complex projects
Experience Required:
• At least five years PC support experience in a related field
• Must have field tech/engineering experience troubleshooting PC’s, Peripherals, Network hardware and connectivity.
• Knowledge of ISPS Code and Homeland Security requirements that must be met by cruise lines
• Ability to learn
