Senior Operations Reporting Analyst
Job Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Summary:
Provide support, analysis, and business intelligence reporting for operational, finance, and sales teams as well as work with management to identify key areas of improvement following an in depth discovery of the trends and actual. Understand how to provide the Strategic report and analysis development as well as the day to day Tactical implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide interactive ad-hoc reports from concept and inception to completion.
- Gathering of financial and non-financial data from sub-ledger and other operational systems.
- Re-engineer and optimize existing processes, and interact with the lines of businesses.
- Coordinate with Information Technology groups the extraction of necessary data.
- Coordinate and Manage special projects / tasks in various areas including but not exclusive to Financial Reporting and operational analysis and research
- Document the Processes necessary to analyze and report on key data points.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Minimum three to five years experience in database reporting tools.
- Minimum three to five years experience in Financial Reporting, POS Systems, Planning Applications, Compensation, and other Operational Systems.
- Capable of writing batch processes and scripts to extract necessary data from Hyperion and ERP systems
- Experience using data gathering tools such as:
- ETL Conversion Tools (Data Sourcing and Integration)
- Experience with Building tables, queries, Access, VBA
- Highly proficient in advanced Excel techniques – pivot tables, look-ups, etc.
- Experience with Process Design and Re-Engineering a plus
- Microsoft Reporting Tools or Crystal Reports experience
- Experience with ERP Systems – i.e. Oracle, Baan , SAP, Hyperion, OLAP, SQL Server based
- Understanding and experience with Hyperion Essbase systems a plus
- Fully versed on Microsoft Office Tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting
- Energetic self-starter with an strong work ethic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to pass a background check
