Description

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Market driving opportunities to prospective candidates.
  2. Contact prospective drivers, Independent Contractors and Fleet Owners by calling, e-mailing or faxing with information on available positions and directing to apply on line, or e-mail/fax application.
  3. Actively recruit, interview, evaluate, and select candidates per hiring policies and in accordance with affirmative action/EEO.
  4. Respond to and follow up on various leads by telephone, on-line and /or in person.
  5. Investigate candidate background information.
  6. Conduct interviews of qualified candidates who meet hiring criteria.
  7. Inform candidates of additional information required to complete the application process.
  8. Qualify new hires verifying previous employment.
  9. Make conditional job offers to qualified candidates.
  10. Schedule driver orientation.
  11. Arrange transportation, lodging and meals for driver orientation.
  12. Schedule DOT drug testing and physicals for incoming drivers.
  13. Work with other departments to insure hires have smooth transition to the company.
  14. Develop recruiting plan and goals.

Job Requirements:
  1. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize work load and attention to details.
  2. Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Interviewing skills including the ability to listen, analyze information and follow up questions is necessary.
  4. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for recruiting drivers, including social media.
  5. Ability to identify and assess driver talent fitting to Company expectations.
  6. Knowledge of sales and marketing tactics to promote the company and attract drivers.
  7. Ability to keyboard and use technology, keep accurate records and generate reports using various computer systems, spreadsheets and computer programs.
  8. Knowledge of US geographical locations preferred.
  9. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations pertaining to hiring class A CDL drivers recommended.
  10. Rely on regulations, instructions and established guidelines to perform job duties.
  11. Work in team environment necessary.
