Job Summary:
The lead teacher plans and implements a daily porgram desigend to meet the physical and developmental needs of the children, and to provide a safe and nurturing environment, appropriate for the child/infant's age and developmental level.
Job Requirements:
High school education or equivalent required. Technical College Certification as an Early Childhood Teacher required. Certification within 6 months for the age group assigned: Infant/Toddler Certification, Preschool Certification, School Age Certification, required. CPR Certification within six months of hire required. Associate Degree in Early Childhood preferred or Four year degree in Early Childhood Education preferred or Pre-K through sixth grade teacher certification in state of Wisconsin preferred. First Aid Certification preferred. At least six months experience in child care, of which at least 80 days (full-time) must have been as a teacher in a licensed child care center (or 120 days part-time). At least one year work experience as a teacher in a children's daycare or other organized early childhood program preferred. Basic computer skils, professional attitude, reliable attendance and flexibility.
