Job Summary:
Work location at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Responsible for accurately scheduling appointments in the Affinity Community Wide Scheduling system, for patients of all ages, using ancillary hospital departments' complex criteria for patient testing and scheduling.
Job Requirements:
High School graduation or equivalency required. Completion of formal medical terminology course required. Completion of Anatomy and Physiology course preferred. A minimum of two years of current patient test scheduling experience in a hospital service department or physician office is required. Previous experience in dealing with medical insurance issues preferred. Previous experience on a medical computerized scheduling system is preferred. Accurate typing at 40 wpm and computer data entry experience required. The ability to work accurately, independently, and under stressful conditions is required. Strong positive guest relation skills required. Must be able to effectively operate general office equipment
