CNC Programmer
Job Location: VANDALIA, OH
Job Skills/Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
1) BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related area.
2) 10 years “hands-on” experience in the metal-cutting industry with 5 years minimum on CNC equipment.
3) Additionally, 5 years minimum CNC programming experience.
4) Well versed at solid modeling and the manipulation of same.
5) Proficient at tool and fixture design.
6) Drafting skills.
7) Strong math and analytical abilities.
8) Understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing as well as Good Machining Practices.
9) Technical writing and depiction skills, and the ability to effectively verbally convey instructions or ideas to others.
10) Ability to undertake and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11) Sound work ethics and desire to interact with others on a professional level.
Other preferable qualities or experience:
1) 5-axis simultaneous programming.
2) CNC mill/turn, vertical & horizontal mills, lathe (& multi-axis lathe), wire & sinker edm, Swiss turn machines.
3) Medical implant and instrumentation manufacturing background.
4) Tool room, prototype, model shop or R&D experience.
5) EdgeCam, SolidWorks and AutoCad.
