AFL, a leading fiber optics telecommunications company has an opening for an Interactive Programmer Intern in our Duncan, SC facility.

The Interactive Programmer Intern is primarily responsible for developing developing  new and enhancing current applications   on our enterprise content management system (Kentico - http://www.kentico.com/).

 

Responsibilities:

• Works with Interactive Manager to develop and enhance AFL`s websites and intranet.
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to
• Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server.
• Create and deliver applications and components.
• Enhance existing systems.
• Consult with management and occasionally outsourced developers related to projects and tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pursuing a Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Development, Web Design or related field
• At least a sophomore with a minimum 2.5 GPA

• Display a passion for programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently, but also work as a contributing member of the Marketing Communications team.
• Personal Profile Attributes: Ability to work effectively under pressure and in time-sensitive situations; aptitude to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; customer-focused.
