JOB DESCRIPTION The Estimator will be a member of the Enterprises Service team and will be dedicated to adhering to procedures, focused on producing the best quality service, being highly productive and mindful of costs. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a challenging, dynamic, team-based environment. The Estimator will be responsible for the fixed cost proposal design, development and implementation for various systems including structured cabling, security, wireless, VOIP, public address and CATV. The successful candidate must meet a majority of the knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience requirements outlined below. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Is capable of performing without supervision or direction work operations/job activities, including, but not limited to the following:
- Acquire all pertinent information including scope of work and drawings from Account Executive, Operations personnel, Advanced Services group and/or customer prior to proposal preparation.
- Review all pertinent information and decipher if information is adequate and correct.
- Generate a thorough, detailed cost proposal based upon information received and knowledge of industry standards and experience.
- Create technical installation packages and submit required material lists to Purchasing for procurement of associated components.
- Provide technical support for Sales, Operations and Customers.
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Skills/Requirements - Associates Degree.
- At least 2 years experience working in the telecommunications industry
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio
- Must be able to read drawings in Auto-Cad
- Proficient in use of computer.
