The Consolidation Analyst reports to the Operations Controller and may be assigned to different projects as business needs dictate. The position is located at our Duncan, SC corporate office. The Consolidation Analyst is responsible for reporting company`s financial performance to Fujikura and AFL management team; responsible for maintaining the integrity of the chart of accounts and GL security rules; key player in recording monthly journal entries, maintaining the flow of GL transactions; responsible for the analysis of financial data including reviewing costs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for reporting company`s financial performance to Fujikura using AccCon software.
- Prepares monthly P&L commentary on business performance and preparation of the quarterly Reporting Package for AFL-JV and AFL Group.
- Maintains the integrity of the chart of accounts and GL security rules.
- Records monthly journal entries
- Maintains the flow of GL transactions, core account reconciliations and preparing the consolidation entries for the intercompany transactions.
- Responsible for various miscellaneous monthly accruals; for intercompany reconciliation and elimination entries; for maintaining GL transaction flow related to journal entries and chart of account maintenance.
- Conduct analysis of financial data including reviewing costs and performing cost benefit analysis
- Extracts data from financial systems to define relevant information and interpreting data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
Skills/Requirements - Bachelors degree in Accounting /Finance
- Minimum 3 years experience in accounting
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Oracle and Hyperion working knowledge is a plus. Must be a fast learner of Accounting/Reporting Systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Limited travel and occasional weekends and additional hours required at quarter end.
