Job Description

Candidate will be responsible for installation of various platforms of DWDM and other optical transport equipment.   Commissioning, provisioning and testing of DWDM systems Alcatel/Lucent 1626, 1830, 7450 preferable) perform firmware upgrades.

Interfacing with customers and tech support.

Lead and oversee multisite turn ups and conversions on variety of different platforms.

Candidate should poses a strong knowledge of optical test equipment (optical spectrum analyzers, BERT T!, T3 GIGE and OC192 test sets), Commissioning and provisioning of DWDM equipment.(Alcatel/Lucent, Fujitsu). Fiber splicing and testing including characterization.

A working Knowledge of FTPs CLI and TL1 protocols.

Fiber splicing

All aspects of optical testing

FTP,CLI and TL1

Test turn up and commissioning of various platforms

Certificates a plus but not required
