Reporting to the Operations Director, this individual will have responsibility to manage AFL/Noyes Quality Management Systems and the set up and maintenance of service repair activities. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with leadership skills, strong technical capability and the ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.   This position is accountable for ensuring that all Quality systems, procedures and training activities are consistent with company goals and objectives to facilitate continuous improvement of our manufacturing and service processes.

 

 

• Maintain AFL/Noyes Quality Management System.
• Lead & manage all 9001 & 14001 audits.
• Maintain a corporate policy and procedure control system.
• Review and approve manufacturing process quality plans and controls.
• Work with Operations Director, Managers and Supervisors to establish and maintain factory quality metrics.
• Responsible for maintaining an effective corrective action system to address issues in process engineering, key performance metrics and customer complaints that are directly tied to operation system deficiencies.
• Ensure the timely segregation, reporting and disposition of defective materials & returned material held for unique processing.
• Support & monitor operations in support of engineering change implementation.
• Lead cross functional teams to identify and implement quality improvements.  
• Ensure the proper collection and maintenance of product quality data component traceability, variable performance data, and return/repair data.
• Work with other AFL divisions to leverage best practices in quality programs.
• Self-assessment programs: manage internal self-assessment programs and participate in such programs at other AFL locations.
• Support operations associate training and certification programs.
• Set up & lead an audit program throughout the division.
• Work with PLMs, Sales & Marketing in providing support to customers in the field.
• Responsible for quality of AFL/Noyes outgoing products.
• Manage in house service repair & set up & support outside service centers.
• Support working with outside CMs on maintaining & improving product quality and the timely repair of AFL/Noyes products.

• Strong Computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle experience preferred
• 5-10 years experience in product Quality
• Experience working with repair centers WW
• Lean/DFT/6-sigma experience
• Continuous Process Improvement
• Minimum of BS in Engineering or Science
