 AFL, a leading fiber optics telecommunications company has an opening for a Design Engineering Support Co-op in our Duncan, SC facility.

 The individual will provide technical assistance supporting AFL`s Conductor Accessories Group Business Unit.

 Responsibilities include:

• Assist the engineering team in converting old hard copy substation drawings to 3D models using Solidworks.
• Assist with the design of new products currently in development
• Assist the team on new designs for substation products that we do not have tooling for including 3D modeling, cost analysis, manufacturing interface, and creation of fixturing to make the part

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least Sophomore standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA

• Display a willingness to learn
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in MS Office
• Expirence with Solidworks
