Hourly Job Posting: IT Support Specialist Date of Posting: 3/6/2013 Department: IT Reports to: Tony Houseman Description: This position is responsible for the installation, modification, and repair of employee computers, peripherals and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to employees. Responsibilities Include: - Install, modify and repair end user computers, peripherals and software systems.
- Provides technical assistance and training on Windows, Mac OSX, iOS and Android.
- Monitor Help Desk system and resolve end user software and hardware issues.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting as it relates to end-user devices.
- Support desktop, laptops, mobile devices, printers and software.
- Evaluate end user software and hardware needs to establish requirements for new systems.
- Assists in tracking software licensing and hardware inventory.
- Develop training materials and procedures and train end users in the proper use of hardware and software.
- Other tasks as assigned which will include off hours and weekend tasks.
- Willingness to work a non-standard shift (e.g. 4:00am to 1:00pm) and be part of a 24x7 on call rotation.
Qualifications: - Two year degree or certification in IT related field or equivalent work related experience.
- Two years of experience
- Working knowledge of latest personal computing device and peripheral trends.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Analytical, problem solver.
