Location: Ames, IA

Ag Leader Technology, the leader in the Precision Farming industry, has an opening in our product development department for testing display and control system software. In this position, you will be responsible for product verification and validation testing for our current and future precision agriculture products. Our current product lines that you would be involved in testing include displays, yield monitoring, application control, planter control, water management, wireless, GPS, guidance, and steering products.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute complete system tests
• Perform verification tests to ensure system functionality meets product requirements
• Perform validation tests to ensure product meets customer expectations and provides a positive user experience
• Conduct in-field testing with test cooperators, customers, and dealers
• Analyze data to ensure accurate system control and data logging
• Assist product management team with providing internal support and training on new features and products
• Assist engineering in the adaptation of new or existing systems and components to vehicles and machinery

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture or related technical field
• Ability and desire to understand the workings of our products at an advanced level
• Demonstrate skills to accurately and efficiently solve problems in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and coworkers
• Aptitude for hardware/software technical systems
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with general farming practices in production agriculture required
• Knowledge in the following areas is preferred but not required: yield monitoring, application control, guidance systems, GPS, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, wireless and network communications.
