Location: Ames, IA

We are presently seeking a key contributor to join our growing design engineering team. This position provides the opportunity to be involved in the product design process from initial definition through product release. You will participate in the design and development of embedded control systems that work with vehicle sensors and actuators as well as advanced displays.

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other appropriate degree and experience
• Demonstrated Advanced Embedded Technical Design Skills
• Detailed circuit design, development, and testing
• Experience with low and high performance processors and high speed memory interface design.
• Ability to develop and integrate hardware and software to solve problems effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well in a multidiscipline team environment, either as a project leader or participant
• Strong Communications skills with management, coworkers, and customers

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Motor Control design experience is a plus
• FPGA/PLD Design is a Plus
• CAN Bus communications is a plus
• Proficiency with C++ and C Programming and real time operating systems
