Located in Ames, Iowa, the company manufactures and markets industry-leading precision farming technology designed to help growers make smart, profitable business decisions. Description:

This position is a key component to the success of Ag Leader Technologys sales in North America. As such, Ag Leader is seeking an aggressive, proven self starter with excellent communication skills and sales experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Grow Application Product sales through current distribution channel as well as creating new channels including OEM relationships.
  • Analyze performance of North American sales territories in regards to DirectCommand/SeedCommand sales and support.
  • Generate SWOT analysis on product lines and regions for Product Management.
  • Analyze historical sales trends, project new sales trends and develop product forecasts.
  • Review and recommend revisions of sales literature, direct mailers, sales videos, newsletters etc.
  • Recommend advertising strategies, sales incentive plans, financing or leasing plans and oversee implementation of approved strategies and plans.
  • Keep Territory Managers, Dealers and OEMs informed of changes in pricing, product availability, financing rates, etc.
  • Plan and conduct Territory Manager and Dealer sales meetings.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively required.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in marketing or agriculture.
  • 3+ years experience in sales, marketing and support of products for farmers in North America. Experience working with OEMs a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of sales and marketing techniques.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of precision farming equipment preferred.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and effectively present information on the performance of sales territories, Dealers and Territory Managers; on competitors market shares and on new market potentials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with broad spectrum of people.
