Location: Ames, IA

Ag Leader Technology, the leader in the Precision Farming industry, has an opening in our product development department for testing control system software for our precision agriculture products. In this position, you will be responsible for product verification and validation testing for our current and future GPS, guidance, and steering products. You will also have opportunities to assist the rest of the testing team with additional product lines including displays, yield monitoring, application control, planter control, water management, and wireless products.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute complete system tests, primarily focusing on GPS, Guidance, and Steering systems
• Perform verification tests to ensure system functionality meets product requirements
• Perform validation tests to ensure product meets customer expectations and provides a positive user experience
• Conduct in-field testing with test cooperators, customers, and dealers
• Analyze data to ensure accurate data logging and GPS positioning
• Assist product management team with providing internal support and training on new features and products
• Assist engineering in the adaptation of new or existing systems and components to vehicles and machinery

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture or related technical field
• Ability and desire to understand the workings of our products at an advanced level
• Demonstrate skills to accurately and efficiently solve problems in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and coworkers
• Aptitude for hardware/software technical systems
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with general farming practices in production agriculture required
• Knowledge of, and in-field experience with GPS, guidance, and steering systems is preferred
