Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

The manufacturing engineering position is responsible for maintaining and improving the production process in manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse departments. This will include designing and updating work place layouts for increase productivity, designing and procuring manufacturing equipment and fixtures, writing standard work and providing support to the production floor.

• Analyze data gather from production to drive improvements.
• Participate in PFMEA, Kaizan and other lean events.
• Understanding of lean principals and are able to apply them.
• Design and building of production fixturing.
• Updating and maintain bill of operations for production.
• Maintaining production equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Industrial Technology
• 2+ years experience working in manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Basic design and drafting skills ( Pro E )
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers
• Ability to solve problems effectively with minimal supervision
• Able to understand engineering drawing and specifications.
• Experience using M.R.P and P.L.M software systems
• Not required but desired cable over molding experience
