Steering Systems Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

The steering systems engineer position is responsible for further developing and improving upon our products that steer tractors. This includes working with suppliers on new products and features, working with manufacturing engineering to build and test new products, resolve issues that come up, assist technical support staff as needed, determine, design, and document what is needed for system to fit up to vehicle, manage a project to be on-time and on budget, while working with all members of Ag Leader organization including executive management.

• Analyze technical methods of meeting GPS and guidance systems requirements to meet the needs of our customers.
• Manage the release of new GPS based systems.
• Environmental testing and validation of new components and systems.
• Develop kits to adapt electronic systems to existing agricultural equipment.
• Support enhancements and changes to existing systems

Qualifications

• BSME, BSAgE, or other appropriate degree and at least 7 years experience
• Design of Molded, Stamped and Machined Parts and Assemblies
• Ability to take projects from concept to completion
• Coordination with outside suppliers as required
• Working with and coordinating activities of other team members
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledge of interfacing mechanical and electronic/electro-mechanical systems
• Statistical Analysis and design of experiments for product qualification
