Engineering Designer

Ag Leader Technology has a newly created position within our design team. Although the primary focus of the job will be on design and documentation, we want someone who is also interested in a limited amount of hands-on work away from the desk.

The primary focus of the job will be on CAD design as well as installation documentation of cables and mounting assemblies for our precision agriculture control products on a variety of agriculture equipment.

You may also be called upon to plan installations, fabricate parts, perform prototype installations, and troubleshoot problems that may occur.

Key skills include:

• CAD Design -Experience with Pro-E and Pro Cables is a strong plus
• Documentation Ability to clearly document procedures for installation
• Strong Work Ethic - Ability to work independently without excessive day to day direction
• Team Player Works well with others in a team environment

The following areas are desired but not mandatory for the right individual:

• Familiarity with Agriculture Equipment (ex. Tractors, Combines, planters, sprayers)
• Familiarity with cable harness design
• Familiar with Electrical and Mechanical Systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot these systems is a huge plus.
• Enjoys working with hands
• Knows GD&T
