Our Aurora Baycare Medical Center is a 147- bed hospital that staffs 16 pharmacists and 17 experienced pharmacy technicians. Are you looking for a position that can offer variety? Our pharmacy team is decentralized in our Med/Surg units 5 days per week and in the ICU 7 days per week. Come and work with a great team in a great hospital! We are seeking an experienced and board certified pharmacist for our Specialty Pharmacy Coordinator role. Maintaining an area of practice and conducting yourself as a role model, serving as a resource and effectively mentoring other staff members. May be called upon to staff in area of practice.
Collaborating with other health care practitioners in a manner to ensure that institutional resources are utilized to achieve the most effective outcomes.
Providing staff development and education in your area of practice.
Designing, developing, and evaluating clinical systems to support area of practice.
Evaluating clinical therapeutic alternatives and promotes those that optimize outcomes.
Reviewing, assisting, and/or facilitating investigations or clinical trials in your area of practice.
Teaching students, interns, and/or residents in your area of clinical expertise.
Participating in planning, education, and execution of care management or quality initiative in your area of clinical expertise.
Supporting education for nurses and other health care professionals.
Qualifications:
Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin.
Advanced Pharmacy degree from an approved school of pharmacy and an ASHP accredited residency or five years of experience are preferred. Board certification in an area of specialty.
Advanced skills in a defined area of clinical practice.
Advanced skills in areas that support are of practice.
Desired Qualifications
Excellent communication skills are strongly desired.
Proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with all professional levels.
Scheduled Hours: Schedule, weekends and holidays varies based on need. No on-call.
