Job Description Job Title: Research Coordinator Job ID: 99409 Location: AURORA BAYCARE MED CTR Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Number of Hours Per Pay Period: 80.00 Military Leave Position: Responsibilities: Imagine yourself as a Research Coordinator who focuses on investigative initiated research Collaborates with investigators to recruit eligible subjects to clinical protocols. Facilitates and oversees clinical research studies by preparing regulatory documents, managing data collection and developing and maintaining databases for the submission of protocol forms and treatment information to the Institutional Review Board. Identifies strategies to prevent protocol violations and is responsible for adverse event management and study closeout. Oversees and coordinates clinical research studies which includes the evaluation of protocols. Coordinates the preparation of regulatory documents for submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Develops and maintains databases as needed and/or required. Interviews and evaluates all subjects being screened for entry into available clinical trials or treatment plans, assessing their eligibility. When eligibility confirmed, enters subjects on protocols. Monitors treatment implemented by Physician or RN for protocol compliance and occurrence of adverse events. Identifies and implements strategies to prevent protocol violations. Participates in study specific budgetary process to assure adequate coverage for research related services as requested by the Research Business Office of Aurora Health Care. Prepares timely billing documents. Collects, completes, and submits data on appropriate documents according to the Aurora Health Care IRB and Department of Clinical Research SOPs or regulatory policies including routine data reporting and adverse event reporting. Assists in data analysis for publication and patient care improvement as appropriate. Serves as a protocol liaison to community based physicians regarding subject referrals for clinical trials. Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree (or equivalent knowledge) in a field related to the assigned function/department. Requires 3 years of experience in clinical research. Proficient with advanced word processing and spreadsheet applications and other software applications unique to the department (i.e., graphics software, data reporting software, etc.). Ability to interact on a scientific level with medical staff, community physicians, and representatives of national and pharmaceutical groups. Ability to collaboratively assure protocol compliance and completion. Demonstrated effective leadership and good communication skills. Desired Qualifications Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) issued by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA)is required, when eligible.
