Requisition Number 13-0681 Post Date 8/28/2013 Title Financial Planning & Analysis Manager City Appleton State WI Part-Time No Description As the largest independently held regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation performs flying services for US Airways, and ground handling services for US Airways and United Airlines.
Flying 71 CRJ-200 regional jets as US Airways Express, AWAC brings passengers from their hometowns large and small to hubs that provide them with a gateway to countless travel destinations. Additionally, AWAC is a ground handler for US Airways and United Airlines in United`s Washington Dulles International hub and numerous cities throughout the country.
In coordination with the Managing Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this position will assist in the oversight of all Company operating budgets, capital planning and acquisitions and other ad hoc financial analyses. This position plays an integral role in identifying areas for cost containment or reduction and determining cost effective solutions that improve bottom line results. In addition, this position will assist in the development of rates charged to AWAC`s airline partner(s), which is the primary source of revenue to cover the operating costs of the Company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and support department managers in creating and analyzing the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets. Perform regular reviews with department leaders on financial performance and identify areas of cost reductions. Direct and mentor staff on their individual and collective performance as a team. Assist in the development of rates charged to AWACs airline partner(s). Oversee financial analysis such as capital acquisition, labor, and other contracts, and various cost analyses. Oversee the preparation of monthly and ad hoc information and analysis of key financial, cost and performance data. Develop and build effective working relationships with department and senior leadership to foster collaboration and trust. Develop comprehensive industry knowledge of the airline industry competitive landscape including labor rates, fleet diversification, etc. Attendance is considered an essential responsibility. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required in finance or accounting Master degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in managing or supervising employees. Extensive experience with financial analysis. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Ability to handle multiple tasks under compressed timelines.
