As the largest independently held regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation (AWAC) performs flying services for US Airways, and ground handling services for United Airlines and US Airways.

Flying 71 CRJ-200 regional jets as US Airways Express, AWAC brings passengers from their hometowns large and small to hubs that provide them with a gateway to countless travel destinations. Additionally, AWAC is a ground handler for US Airways and United Airlines in United`s Washington Dulles International hub and numerous other cities throughout the country.

AWACs team is made up of around 2,700 members dedicated to making our travelers experiences safe and pleasant. With service to approximately 70 cities throughout North America, we carry an estimated 6 million passengers a year.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Fosters and promotes Safety as a core element of the maintenance department.
Plans and utilizes resources to meet operational and departmental goals and objectives.
Ensures that procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual are followed and executed.
Accountable and responsible that team members are adequately trained, maintain proficiency and currency, and mentors direct reports.
Ensures efficient scheduling and use of assigned resources to provide maximum, effective productivity.
Facilitates and coordinates maintenance operations within the assigned facility (including, quality control and assurance inspection, avionics, training, stores activities), and aircraft cleaning.
Ensures that assigned maintenance facilities are operated in compliance with FAA, OSHA, TSA and EPA regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Ensures availability and serviceability of required tooling and equipment at assigned maintenance facilities.
Maintains complete and current technical manuals at assigned maintenance facilities.
Administers the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and has the authority to settle grievances at the appropriate level of the grievance procedure.
Ensures that complete and accurate records are maintained.
Prepares various maintenance reports and summaries including performance metrics.
Prepares, administers and controls assigned budgetary responsibilities and prepares monthly budget variance reports.
Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Plan, monitor and maintain the yearly financial budget for assigned facility and/or area.

Requirements Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Maintenance or Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license (required)*
Five to seven years aircraft maintenance management experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
Significant military leadership experience in aircraft maintenance will be considered in lieu of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.

Candidate will be encouraged to obtain their FAA Airframe and Powerplant license within two years of employment.
