Title Reliability Specialist
Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines.
Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States.
This position is an integral part of the FAA required CAMP (Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program) element - CASS (Continuous Airworthiness Surveillance System). With general supervision from the Fleet Performance Manager, the Reliability Specialist is responsible for the daily corrective action and implementation processes of the Effectiveness Monitoring function of the CASS. The Specialist focuses on driving continuous improvement of the CAMP through Root Cause Analysis, improved process effectiveness and fleet performance. The Reliability Specialist routinely briefs Management leaders of project recommendations and status.
Ensures assigned processes and procedures required by the CASS Effectiveness Monitoring functions are carried out
Leads & facilitates root cause analysis for items being investigated by the CASS Effectiveness Monitoring function
Leads & facilitates the development of corrective action recommendations
Advises the CASS Board of ineffective CAMP processes, procedures or practices detected by the CASS Effectiveness Monitoring function
Ensures all corrective actions are implemented within time frames established by the CASS Board. Creates training data/presentations material for CASS identified training deficiencies
Performs Long Term Tail Number monitoring in an effort to detect and mitigate any risk associated with very intermittent aircraft defects reports
Prepares and issues assigned reports, charts, and graphs including
Operational or Structural SDRs (FAR 121.703)
MIS Report (FAR 121.705)
Significant Maintenance Event Meeting Minutes
CAT II Removal Report
Manufacturers Performance Data
Prepares, maintains and controls technical documents (e.g. Engineering Orders, Maintenance Task Cards and Supplements) which support CASS Corrective Actions
High school diploma or equivalent required.
FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license or relevant experience (required).
Will consider candidates in process of earning A&P license
Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering preferred -OR- equivalent practical career experience.
One to three years of aircraft maintenance or engineering experience in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations preferred.
CRJ aircraft maintenance experience, 1-3 years of experience preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Products including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
Proven technical writing skills (preferred)
Established personnel skills based on collaboration and building group consensus
Effective interpersonal communication
