Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines. Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. Air Wisconsin`s team is made up of around 2,000 members dedicated to making our travelers experiences safe and pleasant.

This Maintenance Planning Manager is responsible for managing the personnel and responsibilities of the aircraft Maintenance Planning Department. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring an efficient and compliant Maintenance Planning operation to include the planning/scheduling of aircraft maintenance checks, inspections and tasks defined by the FAA approved aircraft maintenance program(s). This includes Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Orders, Deferred Maintenance Items, Minimum Equipment List and Configuration Deviation List items, and call-back items. This position establishes departmental policies and procedures, acts as a liaison between maintenance line operations, the FAA and other AWA departments in the coordination of scheduled maintenance.

Essential Job Functions
  • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
  • Acts as a Maintenance liaison with Systems Operation Center (SOC) functions to ensure the aircraft maintenance planning schedules are accomplished.*
  • Supervises the Strategic Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Planning Coordinators.*
  • Tracks and accounts for scheduled tasks in compliance with the approved FAA Maintenance Program.*
  • Reports changes in the Maintenance Planning schedule to SOC if/when they directly affect daily flight operations.*
  • Ensures that all Company policies and procedures for completion of assigned duties are in compliance with FAA, OSHA and EPA regulations.*
  • Coordinates scheduling and workload planning to maintain integrity of scheduled maintenance activities.*
  • Administers and controls assigned budgetary responsibilities and prepares monthly budget variance reports.*
  • Provide a variety of reports related to scheduled maintenance requirements to senior leadership, including executive leadership. This may include, but not be limited to the following:
    • Scheduled maintenance requirements to be used to assist in calculating labor staffing. Continued proofing of the model throughout each calendar year to ensure adequate labor staffing levels are kept.
    • Yearly and long term scheduled component removal forecasts to facilitate budgeting
    • Yearly and long term heavy maintenance forecasts to facilitate budgeting*
  • Coach, mentor, and lead team as required to ensure top tier performance.*
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.*

Education/Experience
  • Bachelors degree required or equivalency of 3-5 years of Aircraft Maintenance Planning experience
  • FAA Airframe and Power plant license is preferred*.
  • Any of the following Educational Degrees or equivalent experience is preferred:
  • Minimum of four to six years experience in a FAR 121 Air Carrier environment with an emphasis on planning control functions.
  • Bachelors Degree in Aviation Maintenance/Management or Engineering.
  • Proficiency with AS 400 software applications.
  • Proficiency with PC applications and MS Office applications.
  • Two to three years of supervisor experience.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of aircraft maintenance program development and application.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
