Responsibilities: Leads the execution of complex tasks. Applies and integrates engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems and associated support systems.
Education: MS or MA degree in an Engineering, Science, Logistics, or Relevant Technical Discipline from an accredited university.
Allowable Substitution: A BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for an MS or MA degree.
Experience: Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to Naval systems (Navy/USMC rotor-wing programs a plus). Demonstrated knowledge in the NAVAIR Acquisition cycle, the NAVAIR Flight Clearance process, and the NAVAIR Airworthiness certification criteria. Previous NAVAIR experience highly desired. Test and Evaluation experience desired.
