Responsibilities: Provide support to distributed PC/networking environment for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals. Perform technical and operational support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages. Job duties require the technician to initiate HEAT tickets with the National Help Desk, generate Move, Add, Change (MAC) submissions, provide seat management, and configure printers and other peripherals. Troubleshoot basic hardware and software computer issues and coordinates a rapid resolution.
Education: BS or BA degree from an accredited university.
Allowable Substitution: AS or AA degree from an accredited university and four (4) years of experience; OR eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Other: Exceptional customer service in a fast paced, continuously changing environment. The ability to prioritize tasking and follow-up tasking through resolution. Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
