Description SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Branch Manager, this team member must be able to deal with any customer, on any financial need, in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Contribute directly to the achievement of sales goals by recognizing opportunities to sell and cross-sell products/services in an in-store-banking environment. Responsible for providing a full range of banking services, with emphasis on developing/maintaining a personal banking relationship with new and existing customers. Act in full capacity of a personal banker including processing routine transactions, selling all bank products and assisting with other service needs. Meet with customers to maximize sales opportunities through greeting and branch contacts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Other duties may be assigned. - Contribute in the achievement of branch sales goals by aggressively selling products to new and existing customers by identifying problems, needs, and opportunities.
- Recognize selling opportunities and effectively cross-sell bank products and services.
- Refer qualified customers to specialized sales forces.
- Introduce products and services through greeting customers in front of the branch.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Acknowledge customer complaints and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, adjusting speed to traffic flow. Maintain and balance cash drawer following the established guidelines.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services. Includes possessing knowledge of competitors products, practices, facilities, and prices in order to effectively sell bank products.
- Develop an overall understanding of the consumer loan process. This includes analyzing credit reports, reviewing loan applications, preparing loan worksheets, and managing credit and collateral exceptions.
- Participate in branch promotions, participate in the development and implementation of the 13 week branch marketing plan.
TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Cross-Sell other services of the bank.
- Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates.
- Contribute to the overall growth, stability, and profitability of the organization.
- Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions for improved efficiency and service.
Position Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Successful completion of Teller, Deposit Counselor and Fundamentals of Lending is required within the first 90 days.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Background in banking and or customer services is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Must possess product knowledge to successfully cross-sell Arvest bank products and make referrals
