Job Description:
Under the guidance and support of the Director of Corporate Accounting & Reporting, the Corporate Reporting Manager (CRM) is an active participant in achieving Finance objectives. Additionally the CRM is responsible for Reporting team objectives, as well as overseeing the Reporting team.
The Reporting Team is responsible for the preparation of (in accordance/compliance with GAAP, SEC and regulatory requirements) externally reported consolidated financial information, legal entity financial and regulatory reporting, executive management reporting and analysis, and for ensuring alignment of legal/consolidated reporting with business unit reporting, as well as for the actual consolidation of the corporate results and integrity of the Hyperion dbase & resultant reporting.
The CRM is responsible for analysis of, reporting of, and communication around the financial information of the holding company, legal entity subsidiaries, and consolidated ABC. The CRM is the focal point for all new accounting/reporting issues from FASB, SEC and Fed Reserve, including ensuring meaningful interpretation, communication and implementation of new pronouncements or rules affecting accounting and reporting, and coordinating the involvement of other finance and non-finance areas as needed.
The CRM is responsible for coordination of internal/external audit & regulatory examinations. The CRM is co-responsible (with Accounting) for accounting policy and sound internal controls that support SOX404 & FDICIA requirements. The position will supervise the Reporting team activities and manage and develop the Reporting team staff. The Corporate Reporting Manager is expected to be a strong leader, communicator (verbal and written), problem solver and decision-maker with strong technical (accounting & SEC) expertise.
To qualify you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, and CPA or CMA.
Preferred Education:
Masters Degree, CPA and a minimum of 7-10 years accounting &/or finance experience; 3+ years in banking industry; 3+ years supervisory experience; 3+ years SEC experience. Nature and extent of prior experiences will be evaluated & taken into account.
