Associated Investment Services, Inc. (AIS) is the retail broker dealer and registered investment advisory affiliate of Associated Banc-Corp currently responsible for financial planning, investment and insurance solutions for more than 40,000 current households across Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
AIS holds as a cornerstone a belief in robust financial planning which is customer relationship focused and solutions and recommendations are based on customer experience, investment objectives and risk tolerance levels.
JOB SUMMARY Provides overall leadership, direction and strategy for the Sales Leadership Team of AIS. Selects, coaches and mentors a team of Regional Sales Managers (4-5) and a Director of Insurance Sales (1). Creates a team vision, sets goals, assembles appropriate support services (Marketing and Training) and helps leverage infrastructure (Operations, Technology and Compliance) to maximize opportunities and minimize expense. Displays a positive and optimistic attitude toward challenges and is a change leader. Fosters a culture which is customer centric and grounded in the principles and practices of holistic financial planning. Sets expectations and goals which are aggressive yet achievable. Holds others accountable for maintaining and expanding household relationships, achievement of new business acquisition and driving recurring sources of revenue. Believes and teaches that relationships are more valuable than transactions. Understands that customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable. All customer recommendations must be grounded in customer needs, objectives, experience and risk tolerance. Selects business partners and vendors who have shared and demonstrated customer centric view.
Assists the firm CEO in the generation of partnerships and cross-referral practices with other business line leaders throughout the company. Drives cross-sell opportunities for AIS sales force and other partners within Associated.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesnt meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associateds anonymous Ethics Hotline.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Management, coaching and mentoring of Sales Leadership Team members 2. Conducts all goal setting processes with Sales Leadership Team. Monitors, inspects and coaches to results monthly. 3. Utilizes relevant sales reports and related metrics to analyze production and coach to enhance performance utilizing selected metrics. 4. Develops, deploys and leverages individualized Business Plans for each Financial Consultant and related Sales Manager. 5. Assist in the direction of a recruiting cycle for improved talent acquisition to shorten replacement or expansion time lines and drive efficiency. 6. In collaboration with CEO and Program Manager (COO), develops annual and long-term business and strategic plans for the firm. 7. Collaborate with business line leaders in Retail, Commercial and PCIS to achieve robust cross-sell opportunities and the expansion of product sales per household. 8. Manages all intermediary, business partner and vendor relationships to achieve optimal benefit to the firm. Coordinates with all internal support areas, Marketing, Training, Operations, Compliance, Technology and Human Resources.
Qualifications Minimum Education Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
Preferred Education MBA in Finance, Accounting or Marketing
Minimum Experience At least 10 years of progressively responsible sales management and Director of Sales experience in a financial institution.
Preferred Experience At least 5-7 years experience as a Director of Sales
Special Skill Requirements FINRA Series 7/63, 65/66,24 (or equivalent), Life and Health Insurance Licenses

Job Requirements
