JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for expanding and deepening customer relationships by identifying customers needs comprehensively and matching their needs with selections and resources within the colleagues assigned business line and across all business lines of Associated Bank.

Accountable for net income, sales and service outcomes through Retails branch channel across a broadly defined geography. Works directly and through district managers to ensure consistent execution against sales, service and operational disciplines focused on the consumer and small business segments. Serves as visible leader for branch personnel and partners within assigned region, and collaborates across business units to achieve organizational goals, including cross-sell results. Performs all duties in accordance with the Vision and Values of Associated Banc Corp.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesnt meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associateds anonymous Ethics Hotline.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Identify needs and refer customers to business Select partners within and across lines of business lines of business who can best meet those needs.

2. Responsible for meeting and exceeding regional budget for pre-tax contribution. Drivers include sales production, customer retention, pricing and fee collections/refund discipline, staffing expense control and loss mitigation.

3. Ensures achievement of regional goals for profitable sales and production. Measures may vary but will generally include gross and net new households, consumer and small business checking, loans, investments/annuities and deposits.

4. Responsible for all aspects of the customer service within the region, including achieving regional goals for Customer Experience Metrics (CEM) and other measures of customer satisfaction and retention.

5. Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates District Managers and other direct reports. Assists in the development, evaluation, and performance management of other retail associates in the district. Ensures there is an active recruitment strategy and skill development plan in place to facilitate the replacement of key retail banking positions within the district.

6. Accountable for the colleague experience as gauged, in part, by Colleague Engagement scores, total and short-term turnover, overall communication, resolution of colleague issues and concerns and other factors.

7. Ensures the region meets or exceeds goals for risk mitigationespecially operational, fraud and compliance risks. Ensures regional execution on minimizing exceptions, meeting required training standards and other factors.

8. Represents the sales force in obtaining necessary resources and support for the retail sales and service programs within the region. Is cooperative and collaborative in obtaining assistance from other departments within the bank and corporation.

9. Develops and coordinates activities with other business lines to ensure sales breadth and depth and relationship opportunities. Ensures cross business line referral goals are met.

10. Directs retail business development goals through effective calling efforts on existing and potential customers and identifies business needs and corresponding sales opportunities district-wide. Carries out public relations and employee relations programs or activities and participates in community and business functions.

11. Coordinates the launch of new products and promotions within the region to ensure that benefits and potential obligations are addressed, and that staff receives sufficient information and lead time, in order to maximize sales performance.

Qualifications
  JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education College degree in business or related field or commensurate experience is required.

Minimum Experience A minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible job related experience in sales management and banking experience. Management span of control to include 10 or more offices and 50 or more sales and service staff. A minimum of three years of experience selling for a sales oriented company, preferably in financial services.

Ability to supervise, motivate, and coach others with a high degree of professionalism.

The interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the bank.

Must be able to accomplish multiple objectives and set appropriate priority levels for various projects and responsibilities involved.

High level of analytical skills along with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work flexible hours during non routine business days, along with the ability travel extensively.

Preferred Experience

Special Skill Requirements Computer Skills/Licensing/Certifications/Bonding

Proficient use of presentation, spreadsheet, word processing, and various database systems is helpful.

Job Requirements
